Pool and Open Water Training Camps
Coach Dave Cameron has led pool and open water training camps and sessions in Hawaii, Florida, California, the USVI, the UK, and East Asia.
Camps can be exclusive to pool (often 50m for better technical training), various difficulties of open water, or combinations of the two.
Depending on the level of swimmer, we may split into groups for some sessions to target specific stroke development, or focus small groups on filming and analysis, while others take on new challenges in their training.
Camps are community- and group- focused, and can also be arranged by request.
Training and Technical Camps
We offer two types of camp experience
Training Camp- A Masters training camp with a little bit of everything. Swimmers used to masters sessions will have both mixed bag and freestyle-specific practice options. Most sessions take place in the long course pool.
Prereq: experience with regular masters practices of 60 min or more.
Technique Camp- two practice sessions, with a working lunch between sessions on site. Swimmers looking to learn, or reengage, with a new level of understanding of freestyle form, endurance, and speed, can take these more specifically guided sessions and classroom analysis. Sessions will take place primarily in the shallow teaching pool
Prereq: comfort in the water and ability to swim 25 yards, even if a little messy
